Waiting to hear about something is another form of punishment. What's happening???? Again, anything? Anyone?

Is this why I didn't get a response to my post a while back on the "Still Worried" thread? No one from Via responded to this:

"I am very interested in how the ongoing investigation of Via abuses is going. If there is anything you or others from Via would be comfortable sharing, as far as how things are being handled, how MKs are responding, how you are feeling about it ... encouraging, discouraging ... it all matters to me, and I know it does to others as well.

Those of us whose schools are not yet being investigated really care about this process and what is happening in the present as well as what to anticipate in the future.

Anything you can tell us?"

Is there nothing to report? I have been assuming the MKs from Via were busily involved in participating in Pat Hendrix's investigation by now.

I happen to know they are still working on contacting MKs or kids who spent time there. Things are moving along although we can't see it and don't hear about it all.

Okay. Thanks for letting us know. I wasn't sure what stage they were at in the process.

I know they are trying to contact the students from Via, but they haven't tried using the social network systems (formal or informal) to their advantage. The initial email I recieved from NTMB was sent to a very old email address I rarely check, and I'm guessing that may be the case with many other students as well. A much more effective method of finding contact information would to be to put out a plea through facebook or call the students they do have current information for and ask them to spread the word.

To speed things along, shouldn't we maybe start providing them with email addresses, etc.?

Sitting Duck- if you read the Fanda report, their report included more general descriptions of spiritual, emotional abuse too and not just specific incidents of sexual abuse. I think they would be interested in hearing your story---somehow, the whole picture helps explain, to some extent, how perpetrators went so long undetected and unpunished, as well as why so many of us, sexually abused or not, continue to struggle to this day.

The neglect of Sitting Duck bothered me a lot, so I e-mailed someone about my concern.
I was told that a comprehensive contact list was finally compiled by Pat Hendrix "a week or so ago", and that Sitting Duck should be hearing from someone "shortly".
The glacial pace of this process is making me nuts with frustration.
I believe Pat was hired by NTM in February. It is now almost July. As yet, the students from the FIRST school to be investigated have not all yet even been contacted???

I have heard nothing. NTM knows my story & my contact info - they are paying for my therapy - which I am not using b/c I just can't deal with one more thing on my plate at the moment.
