Very interesting development.

Persistance pays off and in Australia no one can hide.

This development with Cardinal Pell has been in the news here in the US today also. So everyone is watching. We shall see how this turns out. The Pope needs to show he is serious ... no more protecting of any abusers in the church, even if they have a high rank.

In a short television interview, Cardinal Pell stated he would return to Australia from the Vatican to "strenuously defend" the charges. There is no extradition treaty betweeen Australia and the Vatican, but public pressure will be high, as this case has gathered much steam and the public have little affection for men of the cloth who hide behind and in the church.

This is going to be interesting and could be a defining moment in the Popes tenure.

The author of this review of Crossview Australia found them "rude" in their reply. Now why is that no surprise.

Yes, yes. Crossview is evasive. So is Ethnos360, which we know to have a close (but secretive) connection with Crossview.

This review is very helpful for those wanting to ask real questions about the organization, particularly financial ones. I am not aware of anyone who provides such reviews in the US. I would expect they would find the same evasiveness here, were they to dig into what is going on in Ethnos360 (formerly New Tribes Mission), or in the many splinter companies which have now been set up by Ethnos360 members.

An item in this review that surprised me was the one about donations to Crossview not being tax deductible. Does that sound right? One of the big selling points of Ethnos360 is that donations are tax deductible. If they weren't, I expect the mission would experience a significant drop in their income.

I'm rather perplexed that this official document states that Crossview was established in 1956. Ummmm I don't think so. NTM Australia was established last century, but I'm not sure it was in the 50's, but Crossview denies it is NTM or has any connection. Also of note is that it is listed as not being a "Basic Religious Charity", but it's purpose is "advancing religion".
