No, not NTM, but in the same area (Wewak), in the same era and if you have a look at what was going on in this family, it will sound all too familiar.

So let's say this was an NTM family, would anyone "Make some noise" or would the collective hands be washed and life just go on as normal, minus one family? Would anyone really care, or would it be a quick topic of interest on Fanda Eagles and Facebook for about a week, before life returned back to normal. Would anyone ask why, apart from some ageing MKs who ask to many questions anyway?

Could this happen again? Well I don't know and to be honest I'm the least qualified person to answer, as I still live in a country with very few guns and even less MKs or Unbalanced Missionaries. But if it does, it won't give me much pleasure to say, "I warned that this could happen and . . . ."

That's interesting, Kyle! I had not heard that. I am quite out of the NTM insider news loop. We have been out of the mission for 13 years. I have noticed that a lot of information is being kept private. For example, I hear that enrollment into the training program has decreased a lot and they didn't even have an incoming group at the training center in Missouri this January. (They will just have one intake time, in the Fall.) But I don't think the drop in enrollment is being mentioned much in general newsletters!

I've got no insight into this one either. For some reason NTM doesn't share their innermost thoughts with me, just can't think why .

If it is true, MAF will be PNG's new best friends, until replacements are sent.

I wait with interest more info on this one.

It's been a long road but my investigation has finally closed. It all came down to a two page report, the result? My abuser is no longer with NTM. I don't feel like at this point there is anything else that can be done, or I am just too tired and beat down to fight any longer.
This website has been an encouragement to me even though I don't post. So thank you for your posts and the encouragment and strength you have given me without even realizing it.

Thank You Kyle for the input. I was curious about it and hoping my acquaintance had nothing to do with abusing others. Now I understand why her husband and her were empathetic to my causes when I was an ntmer.

It is interesting to me how the good people all end up leaving ntm. I still know a dear couple and she posts on here. She and her husband are still with ntm, but I wonder how much longer.

The ones who made hell for others continue to prevail. Even the ones who supposedly left the mission. For example, Ron is back in Chobo with his wife. Sure he is no longer part of ntm, but I am fairly certain he is not living in an African hut. He more than likely is staying in his old house which is part of ntm.

In the long fight for justice and healing I have sadly become convinced that we will not see ntm accountable for their actions while here on earth. I guess it is going to be on the other side and that is very wrong.

In the meantime I pray for God to make me sensitive to the many victims ntm has left in its wake. I pray too we can prevent further abuse of innocent children.
