Ok, maybe I have too much Thanksgiving turkey tryptophan still in my blood stream which is leaving me befuddled over the above quote.

That just seems ridiculous to me. No one has to confirm to me that today is Dec. 2. Monday. It is a fact and it needs no proof.

Why do they have to confirm abuse to victims???? Why do victims of sexual crimes have to prove their abuse really did happen?

I am hoping I am misunderstanding the above quote.

I also would like to say to you MK's that I am very sorry. Ntm continues to prove to me that they are not concerned for the many Mk victims who have suffered at their hands. I am truly sorry.

Beats me why I would need to have it confirmed that I was abused. After all, I am of average intelligence and I was there. Also I know exactly where the monsters from my past are and can provide names and addresses. Much better they knock on the door and ask them to "please explain" and for those who were victims of sexual abuse, take a police officer with them and two pairs of handcuffs (the other one for the partner/wife who pretended they knew nothing).

Again, NTM has confirmed it's ignorance/arrogance by it's blatant stupidity. There really isin't much more anyone needs to say.... It's obvious NTM's depth of understanding is still entirely superficial so genuine actions will be well beyond their abilities.

Has anyone drawn the US media's attention to NTM's response on the abuse? What an absolute joke!!

Perhaps if we get into the mind of a former Triber, we might get some insight into why there is a lack of compassion. Of course the one I will pick, is the one I know the best (or thought I knew, I'm having doubts about that too).

The logic went like this. Those that have never heard the gospel are the top priority, hence the name NEW TRIBES (as opposed to Tribes Already Reached Mission). It has something to do with "The Great Commission" and making sure everyone on this planet has had a chance to hear the gospel and then the faithful can be zoomed up to the Pearly Gates, job well done.
Now those that have already heard the gospel, fall into two categories. Those that have accepted and those who have rejected. Alas as you have so correctly observed, there is a Tribe of Unreached "The Casualty Tribe". To my fathers logic, this is a Tribe that is beyond his comprehension, for they have been truly "blessed" by the amazing opportunity they were given and are not even grateful for the experience and worse still, they are complaining unjustifiably about the experience. Therefore his reaction is quite biblical, he shakes the dirt off his shoes as he walks away from them.
But he hasn't walked away from them, he's walked all over them and over a lot of other people in his endeavour, for their was little genuine compassion for anyone he encountered, especially those who did not agree with his narrow point of view.

Is he typical of Tribers today? I leave that for the more enlightened to answer, but in my experience he is very typical of his generation of Triber.

As for Bemused, no wiping the dust off my shoes, you wear you're high heels and I'll wear my hiking boots and together we will journey the long, dusty, winding road, meeting fellow members of "The Casualty Tribe" as we go, administering a bit of first aid here, a bit of encouragement there and a compassionate heart.

That is a very good point you made ThreeWillows. I ignorantly was thinking all the victims would receive confirmation, but yeah you are right. Ntm trudges on reaching people groups while stomping on the many victims it has already plowed over. I am so sorry.
