Andrew Schmutzer: "Why do churches avoid the wounded, when ministering to the broken?"

In other words, churches, mission organizations and other ministries claim that they want to minister to the broken. And yet they are so uncomfortable with the wounded in their midst. Those who are not quickly fixed by a great sermon or a walk down the aisle and one good cry.

Paul Young: "The only time you will find God in a box is when He wants to be where we are."

God does not fit in a box. But he will get in there, if he has to, if that is the only way for him to reach us and touch us.

Just watched this video of Paul Young telling his story. Wow! I am overwhelmed. So glad to hear he was at the conference. My heart goes out to all MKs who grew up in this kind of environment. Hoping and praying good things for all of you. Will this conference by a yearly thing? Hope so.

Glad to know others can hear Paul Young's story! I urge everyone to click on this link and hear this MK abuse survivor. Paul's life story is gripping and the lessons he learned are soul-deep.

There was no commitment made by the MKSN board regarding if, when or where there would be another conference like this. This was the first one ever. It was made possible financially by a memorial fund for Marilyn, one of the MKSN founders, who passed away last year. The board put their all into this conference, and I know they are exhausted.

If it is ever held again, I hope the number of participants will be much higher. The event was so worthwhile for all of us who were privileged to attend.
