There was a kid
Many years ago
To whom they said
We must go

And go they did
To foreign field
To poor native
Love of God revealed

The God of love
But no love for blacks
And the kid wondered
At these race attacks

The God for all
But Catholics not
For it was said
They were an evil lot

And so the list
Of every lesser being
Which was anyone
Who was not agreeing

And the little kid
Grew up fast
Those strange words
In mind stuck fast

So he left one day
That foreign land
And was forgotten
By the noisy band

And the band played on
It's strange song
They were right, Hallelujah
All else were wrong

And of the kid
He was free
Except for reminders
Of past misery

And the God of love
Is on the shelf
Distorted by band members
Who loved themself

And they so loved themselves
So no love to spare
For those they pretended
They did really care

And the kid as an adult
Did stop and cry
"Why did they do this
Why, why, why ?!"

Awwwwwwww!
I recognize it all.
NOT GOOD.
Some classic verses there, Bemused.

If Jesus met Bemused
On his Sympathetic Agnostic Road
Would He demand Bemused state his beliefs
Or help him with his load?

Would He say to Bemused
"You misguided Agnostic fool
I gave you every opportunity
To accept My Word and Rule!"?

Would He remind Bemused of the dedication
Of missionaries from his past
And those who laid down their lives
So that others could have eternal life at last?

Then would He point to Fanda Eagles
And say "I sent MKs to save your soul
But you persist with your hopeless doubts
Which will not let you be whole"?

Or would Jesus say to Bemused
"I see the road you take
Let me walk a little while
And you tell me why your heart doth ache"?

"For in trials and tribulations
We find paths varying and diverse
But no path should ever be dismissed
Or compared to another and judged worse"

"Tell me about those you met
Who badly let you down
And let us celebrate the good of those
Who raised smile from sad frown"

If Jesus met Bemused
On his Sympathetic Agnostic Road
Would He shake his head in disbelief
Or help him with his load?

Or would Jesus say to Bemused
"I see the road you take
Let me walk a little while

And THAT is what I call Good News!!

He would say to Bemused
Tell me all your story
All your hurts
All your anger
All your pain
I have all the time in the world
I do not come to condemn

Jesus did not condemn the everyday people. He comforted them, healed them, he taught them. Those he condemned were the religious leaders who lorded it over everyday people. These are the verses so often used to keep the congregation under bondage and under the leaders control.
