I suspect we are all infected by such mentality to a greater or lesser degree. Even the long removed Sympathetic Agnostic from the bottom of the globe still finds on the odd occasion a thought or behaviour that dates back to the long past time spent in NTM. And even though as an act of compensation the above person attempts to embrace the wisdom of others from all walks of life and faith, in moments of uncertainty the past does still occasionally raise it's nagging finger.
What we learnt was by repetition, exclusion of all other possibilities and the fear that not believing what was taught.

I agree, the sheep with less than pristine fleeces are held up as examples of imperfecton, while the wolves in sheep clothing within the fold have been free to dine at their leisure upon the lambs. And I doubt the Good Shepherd is that impressed.

Oh I well remember the long monologues about Satan being in control of everywhere NTM wasn't in PNG. It seemed a bit whacky then and seems completely out of this world now, for while the finger was pointing out all the evil in the non NTM world, not a squeak about what Uncle was up to in the dorm or the strange goings on in the school.

And what a wonderful ploy of the enemy to keep people from recognizing the true battle going on...focus on the 'action' outside and forget to watch your own back door. One of the most dangerous mindsets is that of thinking that one is 'above' it all.

So the youth pastors get a 5 year suspended sentence for not reporting soon enough the rape of a 13 year old. They waited two weeks!!!!! What happens when you wait 10, 20, 30, 40 years? Nothing apparently.
