Of course Crossview is small fish compared to the big fish in this childabuse scandal. But lets think laterally, lets go out of our comfort zone:
Lets walk in a good Catholics shoes. You see your church being hammered in this inquiry and then you learn that another organisation has a similar track record and nobody is saying a thing about it. Are you going to be impressed, I very much doubt it. This has to be a level playing field, you sin together, you repent and pay for it together, no matter if you are Protestant, Catholic or goodness knows what. I'm not suggesting the Northern Ireland situation, just it is worth considering that everyone who has an interest in stopping child abuse and righting the wrongs of the past works together. That is what the Comission is about. Small fish, big fish it makes no difference. If you were a shark, the time has come to answer. Look at Tony Abbotts background, it gives a clue as to why he is passionate about this. If you believe that God brings people into situations to do specific tasks, then take a good look at his credentials and background, then reread the letter he wrote. As the saying goes, "never look a gift horse in the mouth". And also, "you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink". When submissions are called for, it will be time to write, in the meantime be prepared, spread the word, reach out to others and be thankful we have been given this incredible opportunity. Oh and one more thing to consider doing, pray that other countries might follow Australia's example, in fact why not suggest to those that sit on the seats of political power do so.
