Ah ha. The pastor involved is one "Thabiti Anyabwile" and he is writing a book about errant pastors.
Perhaps he would consider a chapter on errant Missions, or maybe he'd need a whole new book.
In the spirit of cooperation perhaps we could reach out and help his research .

Not exactly sure where to post this but for those who do not know, Jack Schapp (pastor of First Baptist Church in Hammond, Indiana where Jack Hyles was the pastor), age 54, was in court this week. He pleaded guilty to, might as well say it, having sex with a 16 year old girl. He was counseling her as well as being her pastor and superintendent of the school she attended. He may get 10 years to life, pay $250,000.00 fine and pay compensation to the victim. I will admit he did not forcibly rape her but that is not the point as I am sure he groomed her. I think because he used a computer and his secretary (from what I understand) took her to meet him in Illinois and Michigan it changes the code of the crime and that's what makes it a federal crime. The age of consent is 16 in Indiana but since he used electronic equipment and had her taken over the state line for the purpose of sex his crime becomes a federal case. He was wearing an orange jumpsuit, in shackles and handcuffed. His sentencing is 15 Jan., 2013 and I think they kept him in jail. Anyway he has been in jail since he was charged the middle of September. I am wondering if the secretary will be charged with a crime, if it is true she transported her to him for sex, she is guilty as well. First Baptist is a mega church that has been in the spotlight for sex crimes for yonks. We did not run with this crown, thankfully, but we knew of it and my husband did attend one of Hyles' Pastor's School when he was very young, of course when he came home he said he would never go there again. Full stop.

It was all upside down. The offenders were protected, sheltered and moved, while victims were treated with disdain, no care and a diet of mumbo jumbo.

Meanwhile we had HTR (Hold The Ropes), where one got to do ones duty and pray for others.
Now it's CTR (Cut The Ropes), the victims get cut loose because they are dragging the reputation down.

Alas someone had better inform the paedophiles and their protectors that some of us don't have ropes, we has bungee cords and we keep bouncing back .

I wonder if the old folks at the NTM Retirement Center in Sanford are still praying against us in their prayer meetings? That is the report we heard a couple of years ago, that they were petitioning the Almighty for our failure.

Those aged missionaries know they are about to go to their eternal rest, where they will reap their just rewards. I wonder if some one them feel the chilly breath of justice on the back of their necks, and fear they are about to be called into account here on earth for the sins of their past?

There are all sorts of strange ironys in this. The missionaries that we used to pray so fervently for with our childlike understanding, now live in the comfortable environs praying that we of fanda eagles will go away and stop being "bitter spirits". If you are an MK from Downunder, it is possible that your inheritance has funded this fine geriatric establishment, for remember those confiscated houses and that the money was never accounted for?

I only know 5 people at the aforementioned facility. Two I wrote to, just to wish them all the best in the IHART investigation, for their names will come up over and over again. Two are married to these two.
