I am blessed to have three beautiful sisters:

The oldest (I think she's about 25 now)....she was born in Itapira, Sao Paulo, Brasil. She and I were best of buds. We liked goiaba trees...we liked to ride our bikes....we liked to swing on vines in Durant with the Schaeffer kids. We liked to swim in the repreza in Shekinah. God protected her one night in Shekinah...a jararacussu...right next to her, but superman Assis beat the hell out of the snake (when you beat the hell out of something, does that mean it at least goes to purgatory?) before it could bite my sister.

Why did she have to be the only girl in the girls dorm during the school year 1981-82 who lived by herself in a room? She was the youngest member of the dorm. I need to get on Facebook and figure out who was in the girls dorm that year. I can't remember any names. I'm sure the Stricklands weren't the dormparents, I'm sure Celinda and Lenita weren't in the dorm....oh, wait, well.......let's see, Kristin Key, Janet and Patty, Ruth King.....I think I hear Celine Dion warming up now with, "It's All Coming Back to Me Now."

You know, Jeff Taylor, you could stop dredging all this stuff up......what's the purpose? I love my sister. I want her to be loved and to feel loved. Don't misunderstand....she's tougher and sweeter than all those girls put together times a million....she's raising 4 kids as a single mother, got her masters degree, teaches the future of America at a local high school, and I am downright proud of her. And she was the only person in the world that called me at 3 a.m. (Sao Paulo time) in December of 2001, yelling, "We beat Florida....we beat Florida!" (Let's be in prayer and supplication this Saturday)


I've talked more here about my two younger sisters.......the other one born in Itapira....God used her to minister to Carol Taylor. Carol was my 6th grade teacher. Steve Parker taught us social studies that year. You should have seen Steve's face wrinkle up when Rusty finished processing lunch.

My youngest....the closest I had to a younger brother...she took over Dad's obsessive compulsive car-washing...she was 10 years younger than me, so I got to feed her a bottle and rock her to sleep...and I liked to burp her.

George and Suzanne Nicholson....instead of visiting my middle sister like Miles and Colleen, why don't you find my youngest sister (call my mother in Knoxville and relay a message) and explain why it was God's will for her to be banned from real property where I studied for 8 years. Kissing a Brazilian boy may be a capital crime in the WASP handbook, but I've been sleeping with a Brazilian girl since August 10, 1996, and I haven't noticed any side effects. In fact, my sex drive has increased.
