Not to read too much into the grammar here...but it appears at first glance that the prayer is for something to occur in the future. The inference is that what is prayed for to occur in the future has not occurred in the past and is not presently occuring (i.e., it does not read, "I pray that NTM will [continue] demonstrating...)

Assuming that is the case, I recommend a slight revision to the last sentence...perhaps something to the effect of "Since we have not...".

But Larry has been working up to 80 hours a week on this, so obviously the stopwatch has started.
