I don't know where or how to post this. While I support all the MKs search for healing and speaking out against abuse by clergy I want to bring to their attention that this is not just something that happens in MK schools. Anyone that has children in USA public schools are at very high risk for abuse. See article:
http://www.lifesitenews.com/news/archiv ... r/10040101. I went to public school and am aware of the abuse which is left unspoken by students out of fear, not just from school boards but from other students. I am aware of things that happened in public schools, everything from sodomy with a broom stick on up. To MKs now living in the USA with children, please be aware that your children have a high risk of abuse in public institutions and will not be able to speak out without possibly being abused even more for speaking out or even telling their parents. I have spoken to many of my contemporaries and we have all shared common ways of how we survived silently through public school to avoid the abuse. To parents, be aware that abuse is probably happening in the public sector and support your children in everyway you can. I don't believe that closing abusive institutions will bring an end to abuse. Parents being proactive in speaking out and institutions dealing immediately and decisively with abusers will be a big step forward. Abuse will never end as long as their are humans on this earth. But lets not be afraid to call abuse what it is, stand up for the abused, and denounce those who are abusers.
