In my past my personality was optimistic and now I am a pessimist. I don't think it is being mean spirited to face facts. I guess I have seen too much, for my personality anyway. Like I have said before I have no dog in this fight, I do have one in the ABWE sin saga so I guess I can relate to some extent. I have no qualms in saying NTM should close down. They have had opportunity after opportunity to clean this sin sick saga up. What do they do? It is called self preservation and I believe they will endure and in a way they will win. They have money and they have loyalists. Full stop.

Someone with great insight pointed out to me that when Christians place too much focus on the afterlife, they can become guilty of overlooking needs in the present life.

New Tribes Mission: Is this what we were guilty of?

Tribal people will face a Christless eternity IF:
I admit that I have a sex addiction and should not be a dorm parent in an isolated mission school
I keep my children in the village and home school them instead of spending full time in translation work
I tell someone that I was molested as a child and I'm now acting out my fantasies on the little MK boys on the base
I confess that I've been having sex with a high school girl who now thinks I love her and will marry her
We dismiss this tribal missionary from the field and the mission for "inappropriate" touching reported by an MK
We reveal to the world that a school base has become a toxic, sex-drenched pit of lies and cover-ups

And today, NTM: Are you still controlled by the fear that tribal people will suffer if you:
Admit how many pedophiles have been members of your mission
Contact MK victims and pursue full disclosure and restitution
Allow sins of the distant past to be revealed, even if it means total collapse of NTM's revered reputation
Publish the names of child abusers, dead and alive, past and present
Apologize to victims for the cover-ups and move-arounds of their abusers that made those MKs feel unvalidated
Stop letting lawyers stifle your voices and control your actions ... try letting the Holy Spirit lead instead
Reach out instead of shutting down
Shine the light of truth into long-locked closets instead of leaving the room

I just want to weep for victims like Bemused, Blonde, and all the others. I remember the sweet kids at Tambo, some as young as four or five, with their teddy bears and a couple still sucking their thumbs. They should have been with parents who loved them.
