I heard this non-sense in NTM way later than the 1970s. Don't be "unequally yoked" was the Scriptural support for such BS. Whether or not it was official policy I don't know.

I wonder what he'd think if he knew I really did want to merry a fronier! That my first true love was a "tribal boy", and I did plan to merry him, but my missionary farter sent me packing back to the good old US of A, where this flower child hippy waist of time found a wholesome midwestern white boy to merry instead. The tribal boy still occasionally visits my dreams, where we are forever 16, and the color of one's skin does not matter at all.

I agree he is good for a laugh when the subjects get so dark here.The first two I read where a riot. I made the mistake of reading the first one at work. I was trying to hold back my laugh I just could not I laughed so hard I had tears running down my face I had to hold my side and everyone in the office asked if I was ok. I know better now
