Sherpa Dude, what would "real justice" look like in this case?

I'm afraid that after 30 years that can't really be any justice. Perhaps some validation and vindication for the victims, but I don't see that as justice. We've already hashed out all the legal issues and know that the perpetrators cannot truly be punished in any way proportionate to the damage that they have done.

I think Sherpa Dude is right in saying that we all need to concentrate on our own healing. But also, my personal mission is to try to educate those who don't understand abuse, the way it affects victims and their families, or for those who don't understand the patterns in a predators life. My hope is that going forward NTM will be more educated and make guidelines that will be in place when this happens; that there will be follow through when it happens. We can't go back but we can take all our past hurts and all we've learned and use it for a better future. we need to help each other.

That's because you forgot Rule #1 (which supersedes all others): Don't talk about the problem.
