Tambo Graduate....thank you so much for your wonderful input. It's all about what will bring glory to the Lord. Bringing all of this horrific sin that has been covered up out in the open will do that I believe.

Some thoughts rolling around in my head....
God is the same God he has been since the beginning. No matter what I go through in this life, that fact will never change. The very same God who we love and praise when everything is going well in our lives is the same God that sits on His throne when we are in our darkest hour. If we lose hold of this truth, than we begin to doubt that God is in control. And if we reach that point, all hope is lost. The very basis of our theology is then shot. When nothing seems to make sense, we have to return to this foundational truth.
To realize that God (In complete control) allows inexplicably hard things in to my life is often hard for me to understand. That is just human nature. In the midst of times of absolute agony it is hard to see it as something that God, who loves me as His son, has allowed in my life.
If we start building with this as our base, it shines a completely different light on the events of our lives.

I think I share some of Tambo Graduate's reservations, maybe or maybe not for the same reasons.

My worry is that this site becomes just a place to vent or complain, in which case it ends up doing more harm than good. However, if it's a place where we can identify a group of voices willing to speak up through the telling of their stories here, then an actual effort could be made to confront NTM about its handling of abuse issues, or about abusers still on the field. If the later is the case, than for me it's certainly worth speaking up.

Just because Tambo is no longer a school or even owned by NTM doesn't change the responsibility to deal with the abuse that happened there over the years, the responsibility to correct the missteps taken in handling abuse there, the responsibility to the abused from over the years, and the responsibility to confront abusers who are on or off the field.

Hello SherpaDude, This is my first post although I have been checking this site regularly. We spent a couple of years at Tambo as associates. There were many things I loved about it but I also have memories of some of the staff that upset me to this day.
