No problem with being controversial, ha ha, I keep labeling NTM a cult and me suspects that don't get the unanamous nod of agreement.
Presume you've heard of the Scott Kennell case. Justice was swift and severe (58 years in jail), administered not by NTM but by the proper channels. NTMs care for the victims of Scott Kennell appears to be non existant and if the case hadn't broken in the media, I suspect NTM would have moved heaven and earth to keep a lid on any public discussion of the case.
NTM is a cult, it is capable of spinning whatever eventuates to suit it's purpose. i.e. bad news happening to a devotee, is interpreted as "strengthening the faith", whereas bad news happening to a non devotee is interpreted as "punishment" and that mindset is not worth the effort arguing with. My own mother in our only conversation in years said that rapists and child molesters should be punished with the full force of the law, but when I asked her what should happen to her NTM colleagues, she stated they should be forgiven because they were doing "God's work" and had been tempted by the devil himself.
Total rubbish in my book and dangerous rubbish at that.
Can't give you an informative opinion on what God thinks of all this mess, as I'm an Agnostic. If He does exist, I'd hazard a guess that He is pretty fed up and disgusted.
Now, would you settle for an Agnostic Amen?
