I think it's just insane (and hilarious) that they still haven't figured out they took a name already taken by the Wesleyan Church, for their new world-wide entity (WHICH IS STILL NEW TRIBES MISSION in spirit).

I can't stand it.

It's one thing to avoid mentioning a past connection with NTM because one is now ashamed of the association.

I don't believe that is the case with Crossview though. Behind closed doors and drawn shades they are still connected .... but for some incomprehensible reason, they don't want fellow Christians, fellow mission enthusiasts, loyal supporters and backers to know this???

Maybe someone from the inside can explain this to us??

I liken it to a marriage that is staying together because of the kids.

The sinister part is that so many are participating in this sham and it is being so very well controlled. No doubt all communications are censored before being released.

It would appear New Zealand is aligning itself more with Sanford than Crossview.

Perhaps this is a foretaste of things to come. A trial run, if you will.

Maybe there will be a day, in the not-too-distant future, when all missionaries and missionaries-claiming-not-to-be-missionaries who are part of Global Partners, Crossview, and other "new" entities will never, ever acknowledge publicly that they were previously members of the by-then infamous New Tribes Mission.

The defunct mission disgraced by scandal and hammered by lawsuits.

Yes, who would want to be connected with that?

In a surprise announcement today, Crossview has announced that their All Male 5 Person Choir will be renamed something that reflects a more missionary theme working in remote areas.

They will now be known as "The Village People"
