If there is sufficient evidence to believe an NTM member has abused a child, their home church or churches are informed of the reason for their dismissal.

New Tribes Mission also contacts the authorities in Florida, where NTM USA is based, and in the state the members are from, and provides that information to them as well.

If a U.S. missionary from Idaho working in a foreign country abuses a child, the local authorities in the foreign country will never find out. The US authorities will refuse to lift a finger since the crime did not occur in their jurisdiction. If NTM has created a separate entity, like MNTB in Brazil, they may not even call the Florida "hotline".

We just returned from a trip to Michigan and Ontario. We visited supporters and family, but will be back to visit those we weren’t able to see on this short trip. It was an encouraging time sharing about what God is doing in the Budik Church and about our transition to the States. Soon we will be spending a month in Arizona to see more family and supporters. The miles go quickly on the amazing network of highways we have in America!
I am very thankful for such a pleasant office in our home that I’m setting up where I can work on Budik materials in preparation for going back to Senegal.
Our coworker, Ken, recently returned from Senegal with encouraging news that the believers are meeting and being taught from the Word. Please pray for Ken as he works on the revision of Hebrews. He has finished the Budik New Testament, but is rechecking it before setting a date for printing. Please ((((letter continued on next post))))
