I don't have the information firmly in my head but I think the laws were changed in 2007 and the victim has until he/she turns 50. However, I think Victoria is different, I'm thinking there is no statute of limitation. The Marshall case involves many now men and I know some are over 50. I reckon the statute of limitation should be until the abused are no longer alive and I wonder if that might just happen with all these past cases coming out into the light and when the Royal Commission is finished. Such a tragedy and maybe I am wrong but even more so when it involves so called Christian organizations. Hughes was released on a $50,000 bond paid by his wife, he has heaps of restrictions and they confiscated his passport. Full stop.
