Who knows what 2013 holds for each of us. 2012 was exciting enough.

I can't help but get the feeling that internationally opinion is hardening against groups that have participated in child abuse and hence the call for accountability on many fronts.

If this was the end of the school year, NTM would be given a report card that says, "made some effort, in some parts, but could do a lot better" "Crossview failed completely and needs to be suspended".

But the bottom line remains, sexual abuse of a child is a major crime and covering it up is "aiding and abetting", which is also a serious crime. What happened in the past decades was a disgrace, not putting ones heart and soul into righting the wrongs of the past is unbelievable.

For me, I'd like to wander off into the sunset in 2013, knowing that the world of MKs is a better place. What happens to NTM will be a consequence of what has been sowed, I don't drive the combine harvester, just am interested in the wheat being sorted from the chaff.

Today I have ignored the dirty laundry.
Instead I have cleaned house in preparation for CHRISTmas.
The hubby and I like to clean from top to bottom - ceiling to floor... it is the only time of year we get into the cleaning groove.
Wiping down walls, and on top of the high cupboards/wardrobes, wiping down the walls etc etc

It seems that NTM would do well to do likewise. They seem to have an affinity for procrastinating, putting off serious 'house-cleaning'...
In effect, they should make the time. We would not mind justice for ALL this Christmas. We would be happy even if they recognized the depth of the problem and actually did something about things.

On another note Bemused, I wish I could sing along with Chris Rea... "coming home for Christmas!"
Maybe one day I will have reason to come back to Aotearoa for Chrissy... I will gladly spend it with you and the Mrs.

Let me know when you are coming to Aotearoa (the Maori name for New Zealand) and I shall get the hound to roll out the red carpet . He knows where it is, as seems to have it rolled out for him regularly.

Where I work we play Chris Rhea and Dire Straights Christmas carols, we are thinking of combining them and calling it "Dire Rhea" .

This is the year we shut down NTM! I am praying that when the Panama report comes out that the public out cry is so loud they have no other choice. I have an army so to speak of Cubans spread out in Florida that will make a lot of noise for us!

You many not have to worry, according to the Mayan calander and the doomsdayers, it's all over on the 22nd of December. The end of the world is nigh.

Of course if they are wrong, then perhaps Santa will deliver an even bigger carpet to sweep stuff under.

Failing the above two scenarios it will be an interesting 2013.

Unless of course the rapture comes, in which case, most of us won't be here, just a few sheep and wolves in sheeps clothing, wondering where all the eagles flew off to. Wonder if we will be able to send post cards from the Pearly Gates?

A thought....I can't seem to give up on. A meeting/reunion for all of us. We must meet each other. All of us. Not until one of us is back to her dancing in the rain self though. Fitting that NTM could pay for us to attend the MK safety net conference in April!! Hmmmm now that's ironic justice to begin with.

What if NTM does not release the Panama investigation?
Since they are paying for it, they have control over who sees what.
GRACE met with both the MKs and NTM before releasing the report.
And they released it to both parties.
The MKs posted it on fandaeagles for all to read.
NTM posted it on their MEMBERS website and not on their PUBLIC site.
For some reason they let the students read it and had a Q and A about it.
So they could re-explain it?
Sorry to be so skeptical, as always.
If you look back on the investigation thread (?) you will see a statement something like
NTM will release the info as appropriate.
Some of us will not be surprised if this happens.
Some of the more recent posters will have a big shock.
Some of us are kind of used to these things.
Unfortunately......
Penn State took care of their mess very quickly by comparison.
And they are not even a faith community.
Make the comparison......

Genuine repentance is the only option for Christian people if they are real.
An organization cannot repent.

How far in the future is that?
How far back in the past should that have happened?
Bolivia-1950? 1960's? 1970's? 1980's 1990? 2000? 2010? Abuse has been reported here for every decade.
