The MK Safety Net Conference in Chicago that was postponed this past April is re-scheduled for April 19-21, 2013, in Chicago.

This looks like an excellent opportunity for MK abuse survivors and those who love and support them.

There will also be an Advocacy Summit, just prior to the conference, for those who have a passion for advocacy.

I am on the Board of MK Safety Net, and just want to add some information to Raz's comments. Our speakers for the conference will be Paul Young, author of "The Shack", Boz Tchividjian of G.R.A.C.E. and Andrew Schmutzer, editor of "The Long Journey Home: Understanding and Ministering to the Sexually Abused."

The April 19-21 conference will address actions and steps to help former MKs move toward reclaiming their lives and breaking the silence. We invite you to come and join us to hear speakers ranging from professionals in trauma counseling, law, writers and MKs who are breaking the silence. The conference is open to former MKs, their families and friends.

The advocacy summit, on April 18-19, is for those who are interested in advocating within the missionary community for investigations, reform or justice related to child abuse. If you are already an advocate or would like to become one, then this event is for you.

Not sure that there will be any off site participation for the MKSN Conference. We want to be sure we protect those MKs who are there. As far as the speakers that would depend on a number of things, first of all if they would want it broadcast outside the conference and then if we could actually do it.

Would be so great if many could attend.
