http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=II3cVrOrqMoUntil about 1993, I used to think of Mary Lou Estelle when I heard this song.
Then I heard she got married.
Then I started chasing, in my awkward MK way, everything with a skirt.
Then, on May 7, 1996, the most beautiful woman God has ever put on this Earth walked to my parent's front door in Vianopolis. I opened the door so she could use our e-mail to write her parents (both of whom were in the U.S.....Paulo for Paulo Sergio's graduation from LaTourneau and Neli to help Pri right after Caleb was born....did I mention my mother-in-law Neli has been present every time my wife has had a child....Neli has dropped what she's doing and traveled hours and/or to another continent to be with us and help us.....you never know how much a mother-in-law means until it's 5:30 a.m....the baby is nursing, the 21-month-old needs chocolate milk and you've got to be in Congonhas by 7:00 a.m.).....
Anyways, she sticks out her hand....imagine that....a beautiful Brazilian girl with blue eyes and delicious hair.....she just sticks out her hand.....and awkward Jeff Taylor, raised at Bob Jones University in Shekinah/Peniel, in a moment of Bill Clintonesque sexuality, says, "Don't I get a hug." And she hugged me......a warm hug....and in .01 seconds......I knew I was going to marry her.
