Hate to rain on the parade through the 60's with the Peace, Love and Joy Beads, but I'd prefer Truth, Action and Complete Repentance.

And perhaps when I've finally got The Truth, A Whole lot of action that leads to True Repentance, then I shall grow my hair long at the back (It ain't ever going to grow at the front and on top :o ) put on the Peace, Love and Joy Beads and sing Kumbah Yah Shallom.

In the meantime, it is keep probing, keep proding, keep writing those e-mails and slowly extracting the truth to find out just how deep the childhood mess went and who exactly was involved.

This is a high stakes game, there are those who by any means fair or foul, do not want to have their pasts probed and their deeds paid for. Alas for them Bemused does not reach out in love to those who committed crime and did not pay for it, he prefers justice.

It's not the hippie thing, B.
It's the attempt to be respectful to others in the midst of our angst.
"Reaching out in love...."
The concept is buried somewhere in the threads now.
It's usually said with just a touch of sarcasm which cannot always be read.
Because, as you wrote, Action/ Truth and True Repentance are the real issues.
We appreciate your persistent digging.
No beads......
And, horrors, no Kumbayah.
Ugh!

True and we only have one of them each on this earth. So hence the desire to clean this mess up, so that we can all go on to enjoy what remains of our time on planet earth, with the healing and freedom that should have been made available decades ago.

After the recent devastating earthquakes, the authorities decided it would be a good idea to put in a Tsunami warning system. A siren that alerts those living in the coastal zone to head for the hills.
Today it was tested. Now I work in the zone that would be affected by a major Tsunami, trouble was I couldn't hear the alarm inside and it wasn't that loud when I stuck my ears outside.
The authorities explanation of this was that it was set at 88 decibals, which was loud enough to alert those outside and close to the siren, but not loud enough to disturb those inside. O.k., I might be sticking my neck out here, but at 0300 I am unlikely to be walking down the beach near the siren, more likely I'll be inside, and quite probably fast asleep. And I would dearly love to be woken up by a very annoying siren, before I find my bed is an improptu surfboard. And if I was on duty, I'd love as much notice as possible so that I had a ghost of a chance of evacuating 60 elderly patients.

Got me thinking about the NTM historic abuse issue. Does the alarm volume need to be a bit louder, so that it does acutally penetrate the walls of the comfortable lives that many are feeling safe and secure in? Because when the wave hits the shore, it's a bit late to scramble to put ones swimming outfit on. Of course some, won't hear the siren no matter how loud it is, but the majority might take some notice if it is loud enough.

Excellent analogy, Bemused.

And we have offered several. Remember the Titanic?

Of the thousands reading here, perhaps very few are tribers. And maybe they already have their life jackets on.

Oh yes the great ship Titanic. Wonder how it's going up on the bridge?

Meanwhile at Crosswind Australia, one Bemused has been declared "Public Enema Number One", for going into the bowels of the organisation and causing some unwelcome movement. Yes I can report that I have found some familiar faeces, who seem to be in a less than relaxitive state. But then as they say, "all good things must come to pass". :?
