IS THIS GUY FOR REAL?! Sounds just like some of the entirely naive, head in the sand holiday campers we had in NTM in our day. Many come to mind.............

I would suggest giving the site a miss as he obviously knows nothing about abuse and how abusers operate...in fact his postings would make one wonder if he had a vested interest in protecting the pedophiles and abusers involved in cases all over the world who we are attempting to bring to justice.

We know what happened to us and how things were hidden.....why there is no evidence of trauma,abuse and broken bones in medical records in hospitals all over the world. I doubt this guy was a missionary/MK as he seems to think we had state of the art medical care in the bush in the 60's,70's,80's,90's.....and that we would have received documented care providing proof today of our abuse in local "hospitals".

I obviously don't need to say anymore for those of us who WERE ACTUALLY THERE.

My humble opinion is that the "Red Baron's" writing is a type of humour that does not suit all tastes. Personally I find it refreshing, poking fun at an institution that could have done with taking life a little less seriously, but that is my own personal view, no doubt influenced by my own experiences in this matter and my career where I witness a lot of pain and suffering and to be able to "look on the lighter side of life" enables one to do a difficult job.

My other humble opinion is that the writer of the blog mentioned is attempting to display the benefits of a good education by the use of technical language to discredit "Red Baron" and alas the funny bone is missing in the anatomy.

I have no idea who "Red Baron" is, but as a relief from the day to day grind of dealing with high stress loads, I am appreciative of the unique brand of humour, while bearing in mind that it is not quite everyones cup of tea.

You are right the Red Baron has varying shades of humour and some may not be for all. He does tend to address what many of us who have been through the NTM misery recognized at the time as out of touch idealisms and thinking. Appreciated

I would have to agree with you regarding to "poster" attempting to present his "higher" education to the world. In the past I have worked with plenty of them....all theory and useless in a "real life" working environments. Head up their.........in the clouds.

Thank you for the clarification Gene....I should have been clearer. Tend to... like so many get a little into my own space when writing. It's as close as we can come to sitting down together over coffee at this time. Sometimes I write as though we ARE all in the same room.... and maybe some day we will be.

My comments are definately in relation to Tim Dunkins site/ comments and NOT Red Barons.

There seems to be loyalists on all sides of the sexual abuse against missionary children. It makes me so cranky that people will defend these perverts and their cohorts to the end. My husband wrote an article about the ABWE sex scandal and Dr. Donn William Ketcham and received an email that reprimanded him for not accepting their sorry, his comment was they have said sorry to everybody but Satan. Oh really, guess this person doesn't realize that pedophilia is a crime not just a sin. Sorry just isn't good enough. I abhor these syrupy sweet "sorry" letters. Full stop.
