(Aussie, "the law" tow mater is referring to is not the laws of our countries like speed limits and laws that hold people accountable for abusing children. I know that he, of all people, takes those laws very seriously. And repeatedly points out the ways in which NTM failed to respect those laws.

I believe he is making a comparison to the Pharisees of Jesus' day, who were smugly self-righteous because they thought they were pleasing God by putting on a show of perfect outward behavior. He knew that in actuality, they they fell far short of ever living up to any standards set by a holy God through the Old Testament laws. So he called them out for their hypocrisy. And then he provided a better way. The way of grace.)

Aussie, thanks for keeping your sense of humor about this!

Reading your apology for being "annoying" makes me smile. You are new to these forums. Those who've been here for a while and have witnessed the verbal battles, explosions and epic implosions that have occurred here would say "No problem"! You are not annoying at all. Please keep posting!

And regarding the paranoia, I think I might know what happened. When you post something here in the forums, your posts appear immediately, for all to see. But if you post something on the main page, it's different. Everything posted out there has to be "moderated" first by Bonnie. And Bonnie is a very busy Mom who sometimes doesn't think to check the main/home page for days. She is not the type to censor things. Freedom of speech is encouraged here. But until she "moderates" your post, it won't show up for public viewing.

Yunker, I looked at your picture. What strikes me about that group of leaders is the total absence of women!! That is so wrong!! This has been a soap box issue for me for years, from back in the days when I was still in NTM.

It is my opinion that if there had been WOMEN on the field committees and school committees of Senegal, Brazil, Bolivia, PNG and the Philippines, some of the heartbreaking stories posted on this site would have prevented, and also that the response to reports of child abuse would have been drastically different.

New Tribes Mission, wake up and acknowledge that by overlooking your women you have deprived yourselves of decades of wisdom, insight, courage, sensitivity and compassion!

It's time to repent!
