And now that I have wept, it is time to be outraged.

Dreamwords, you e-mailed Scott Ross a clear description of your abuse at the hands of Gary Earl in February, 2006, and he waits SIX MONTHS before telling you he would “like to proceed with looking into your incident” ???

And then MORE THAN A YEAR goes by, before Gary is even confronted?? This after Scott Ross has assured you "there is no question in anyone's mind that this happened", referring to the BRUTAL beating and humiliation of a ten or eleven-year-old child at the hands of a man trusted to care for her in the dorm???

In August, 2007, Bing Hare tells you, "NTM will pursue all allegations of abuse, no matter how old, and the Mission policy of dismissal will be invoked if the allegations are confirmed, regardless of US statute of limitation". Even though Gary Earl expressed "deep sorrow and sadness for what he did to you" (which sounds like a confession of guilt to me), New Tribes Mission waited another SEVEN YEARS!!!! before giving this monster any consequences whatsoever for this BRUTAL CRIME he committed???

And the consequence? Dismissal (termination), as promised in 2007? Oh no. This man and his wife are allowed to fade quietly away, granted a nice little stretch in the "In Transition" section of the NTM membership list, after which they will be on retired status, just like my own dear parents and the many other retired missionaries we all hold in high esteem.

This is despicable! I am beyond outraged.

There is no true contrition or repentance in the heart of a man who tells his supporters he is retiring "due to several factors, including my age (67 this year) and my wife's need for continued cancer medication and regular exams". GOD is directing them from overseas to continue full-time ministry Stateside?? Oh, I feel like punching a wall! Just bring God into this, why don't you. God, who watched you beat a helpless child to a bloody pulp. Just because you could. Because you had the power. Because no one was there to defend her. How dare you bring MY God into this.

Okay. Before I have a stroke, I think I need to shut up.

There seems to be a theme with PNG abusers and the whole sweeping floors chore. That was how Jim Given operated with me also...it was often about my chore sweeping the floors....never done right, never good enough and would get me out of bed after lights out, to sweep the dining area over and over again. These people appear the be cut from the same cloth. ABUSERS

Gary Earl was required to "retire" after abusing little girls (and who knows how many others).

I was "requested" to resign after showing what leadership felt was "disrespect and contempt" for them.

I am so proud to have been a part of NTM for 25 years. I wish I were still in .... so I could resign in disgust.

I read dreamwords post before I went to bed, wish I hadn't. This person needs exposed and terminated by NTM NOW! Full stop.
