Here is what was posted on NTM's site: How will NTM handle future allegations of abuse? NTM is committed to using a third party investigative team to investigate future allegations of abuse. In the late 1990’s, when NTM first began to formalize its investigative process, there were not many models to follow. As we learned, the investigative processes we used changed. In 2000 NTM policies began to provide for the use of an independent third party observer in investigations. In 2009 we realized that it is even better to have outside persons doing investigations. That was the basis for hiring GRACE to do an investigation when former Fanda students requested that a review be made of their case. Is this saying anything? I don't like the wording of the very first sentence, "future allegations of abuse." Does that mean any allegations that are being talked about *now* are not included in the "future" allegations? Does anyone see what I'm seeing? Not really much of anything and what is said is unclear and ambiguous? Truly, I don't understand this update. Why are we waiting for weekly updates that say pretty much little to nothing? Why is it taking an entire week to come out with this puny little 2 paragraphs? I'm not getting it. |

This press release makes me want to spit nails every time I see it. And I will divulge some info: I emailed Larry and told him that this press release amounts to nothing more than the EC thumbing their collective noses at the abused MKs and their families. (I did apologize for my crassness, though... hopefully he'll be able to handle that.  )

Coming soon. . . another NTM update saying that we all misunderstood the last one! It's really our fault, not NTM's. How could we be so bitter and thick headed? Especially the thick headed part. |
