We will never know but it's an interesting question.

I think life would have been strange as I had a father who needed to be a big fish in a small ponds. But I doubt it would have been as traumatic as NTM was a very cruel cult for a shy small boy from the bottom of the globe to have grown up in.

Oh, but that is a very positive side, and yes, I am indeed glad we have met (though never in person .... that would require a rather long swim).

I even had some gifts for Bemused if he had come to Chicago that time.
I couldn't be there.
I don't remember how I was going to get those gifts to him.
A deck of cards with the Beatles and a Yellow Submarine on them.
(Because I think he was going to come over in a sub---that was a long time ago!)
And a book for us all to sign for him--on hugging.
About a porcupine who loved to hug, and her friends liked her, but not the hugs.
How she solved that problem.
Which was not really about Bemused except just the hugs part. Sort of.
Well, everyone stayed in their own places.
Even tho we wrote a lot about a grand party down under.
Would have been great!
But we are all still here.
I think all that we wrote helped a lot of us.
It helped me.

I'll never forget writing my first post.
I really sweated before hitting submit!
Then it became so 2nd nature.
There were so many good people here.
Good people to know.
Even tho hurting.

I DID get to meet Raz and Iwillflyagain and threewillows.
And some others!
Meeting Bemused is on my bucket list. :
