She doesn't bash men and boys, but she has a lot of good examples of work they do for women thru their foundation.

One of the many tragic aspects of a childhood in NTM.

Hundreds were abused sexually, but THOUSANDS were abused physically.

"Break their will", they said. "Beat them till they meekly submit" is how that was interpreted.

Horrible. Just horrible.

Well, it wasn’t just the MK’s. Missionaries actually taught people on the field, how to hurt their children. Discipline is a dirty word.

Wow, I hadn't thought of that, Caring. I didn't really see that taking place, either as an MK, or later as a missionary myself. But I can imagine it happening, in places where missionaries exerted a lot of control over the behavior of their "converts".

Compounding the tragedy. Spreading the pain and the lifelong fallout.

I remember in New Tribes Mission boot camp they taught how and when to discipline the children. Straight from the book, The Strong-Willed Child. I think they have reprinted that monstrous book more recently with the brutality minimized. I purchased a first edition about a year ago for research but haven't been able to open it yet.
