But parents love and support MKs.

Raz your idea to contact churches is great. What if each MK wrote the churches who had supported their parents and them indirectly and told their stories? I know many churches would probably not believe them. If the letter was written to the pastors many congregations would never hear the story. But what if local newspapers were contacted with the story? Just some ideas. It would be important to have all the documentation available. I hope you have all seen Spotlight.

If I can offer a tip from experience. When you write to a pastor, send a copy to the secretary. The pastor will probably be male and not inclined to take much notice. However chances are that the church secretary or administrator will be female and will be more likely to act or take notice. The pastor will be less inclined to ignore correspondence if he knows he isn't the only one in the church to be made aware of the situation, especially if it is a female that is going to call him out.
Tip two. If you have occassion to put any information before a police officer, pick the officer who is not involved with a church. Alas learnt this from experience also.
