Hi everyone I am looking for stories from people who would like to share their story on MK Safety Net FB. Also looking for links that relate to MK abuse. If you have them could you please send them to me. Thanks so much. If you are on FB please visit the site MKSafetyNet and like the site. We always appreciate new and old friends checking in. |

Shary, some of us participate on the MKSN Facebook page. I would suspect that some who post here will not be comfortable on the Facebook site because they do not want to be known by their names. And then of course there are a few odd ducks who have not yet become fanatical Facebook fiends as I myself have. They just don't know what they're missing! |

Hey! Who you calling an odd duck? I'm just quackers. Personally I don't use facebook (did for a few weeks, but gave it away). This is enough social media for this odd duck. The privacy implications are a worry and are taking giant strides in technology such as facial recognition, where a camera can recognize a face, link it to facebook and have all your personal info, then send you tailored advertising and do goodness knows what else. Just my personal choice of course. |

Did I say you were a duck? No! Just a Kiwi bird with some white feathers stuck on, wearing purple lycra shorts, trying to fly. No, no. Not odd at all. |

duck? Maybe soI know it can fly because it knows so much. Just walking around on the ground would not give that much knowledge. Odd? yes in a very endearing way. I am so old I don't care what they want to find out about me on FB. I also believe I have to be transparent to help those I want to help. It isn't for everyone and that is fine. It has given me back a good part of my life. For years I never talked about the MK part of me. O I told stories once and awhile but no one could really identify with my childhood in Africa. Through FB we have had two Mamou reunions. I also like the FE because people don't have to give their identification. Of course some FB don't use their real names either. |
