Is it an issue for anyone that NTBI is still not an accredited educational institution?

Seems like a waste ...... maybe NTM has an answer for why they do not offer accreditation?

Ok I feel like I need to defend my bible education. First, let's agree that it is always a good thing to study the scriptures whether it be formally or informally. Second, let me suggest there are accredited instutions that frankly are not good instutions for bible study. Third, there are good bible institutions in the USA that will recognize NTBI bible credit hours. Thus lending credibility to NTBI's current bible education classes. As for exact reasons why NTBI is not accredited I think anyone who really wants to know the reasons should contact them directly for an official response.

Agree with you but it would have been nice to have been made aware of the transferability of credits and all options. Hey, I am not up to date...been a while lol

If you go through their training, you do get some kind of credit

Sorry I started a tangent - don't mean to make you guys feel defensive about your education, and Bible training is important. To get back to my original point, though, I do wish that NTBI taught more than Bible education, considering that this is where so many MKs dump themselves by default. Perhaps some classes on how to identify and deal with abuse situations might be in order, in light of how many New Tribes parents and teachers saw things happening with their children in front of their eyes and didn't know how or feel comfortable reporting it to leadership, authorities or even other parents whose children might be affected. It logically follows that lot of the issues with NTM's arrogance and past spiritual abuses goes back to their training camps and schools. And that's why NTM MKs going straight back into the fold after graduation without ever tasting of non-New Tribes theology worries me.

NTBI's focus is only to teach bible with a missions emphasis. However, in Mission Training which comes after NTBI I recall going over our child protection policy. However, you do raise a good point. If our current mission training does not include more than reviewing a policy document in light of all the information available it would be wise to implement a training module (3-5 days) into the program. Furthermore, it maybe worthwile to ask GRACE to do such module.
