Excellent write, Allbetter...!! Around our school, at times, were rebels and danger. 7 hours one way to a main city and 5 hours the other way to another main city.. Very good points to consider. My parents did go against the flow and home schooled us.. A NO...NO.. But a wonderful time for us!

5) What exactly was rebellion? Questioning was classified as rebellion, but that is how kids learn and even adults. This is where the cult mentality came in, the total control by setting boundaries that were extremely rigid.
Combine this with 7) and what was being churned out was MKs who struggled with guilt and frustration that they dragged into their marriages and relationships.

And all along there were those rumours about affairs and abuse (now proven to be true). No wonder MKs were confused by what would seem a total double standard as they saw the old maxims "Do as I say, not do as I do" and "it is only sin if you get caught".

And the very people that an MK should have been able to talk to about it all, often didn't want to know or wanted it kept quiet because "the work" was more important. And for some MKs, nothing has changed.
