I've always been the people pleaser/mediator type person....trying to be gracious and still get the point across. I just had a few challenge me and thought, perhaps, others were being challenged as well and might benefit from a discussion here!

Kari- you make great points...and you've been at this much longer than any if us. I'm still feeling my way through this quagmire!

I have signed the petition and had the other members of my small, immediate family sign it as well. I have sent it out to others, but I haven't had any reactions yet. All grains of mustard see, but who knows...

I'm just going to throw my 2-cents worth in here. Why does NTM have to be coddled and their sensibilities worried about? They're adults aren't they? Grown up men and women? What about all the mistreated MKs over the decades? Were they coddled? Were their sensibilites thought about?

I think Christians worry too much about being kind, patient, sweet when they should worry about being ethical and upright. I think there's a lot of self-torture, 'Am I being kind? Am I being loving? '. It's a bit surreal when the focal point is child abuse.
