Well I ain't the tooth fairy who grants wishes!!!!!! Nah, Tribers are stuck in a cult that has a few thinking for the masses and the thinking is faulty, so very few are going to read anything that might make their eyes open.
I hate seeing you guys beating yourselves up because NTM doesn't respond or do the right thing. Sometime it is better to accept that something is so badly broken it won't ever get going again or be any use.
Best thing is to carry on exposing the mess to the world and bring NTM down that way. They asked for it because they've had decades to sort things out but they are still pissing around the edges and crying because they've wet their pants.

Anybody remember when NTM came out with that line that the amount of abuse in NTM wasn't that bad because it was lower than the national average? Haven't heard that for a while have we?
Maybe because now we have lifted the lid on so much abuse that happened in NTM, it is probably worse than the national average!!!!!!

It's gone very quiet from NTM lately, have they lost their voices? Maybe they're finally waking up to what an absolute mess this all is and they don't know what to do!!!!!!!

I guess I was not following the blog when ntm came out with the ludicrous statement that their abuse was lower than the national average. How disgraceful. Just one incident should have been enough to cause repentance on their part.

The hypocrisy of the whole thing is what irks me. Trivial incidents use to bring harsh disapproval upon a member and then something as heinous as abusing a child is looked at so nonchalantly as to say oh well, we ain't as bad as others.

Good point Aussie, we haven't had that tired old statement regurgitated for a while. Actually we haven't heard much out of spokespeople or many in NTM at all for some time.
My position is clear, as a religious organisation, there should be a zero incidence of child abuse, one case is one case to many. Of course every large organisation is going to have the occasional bad apple, but they should be dealt with so severely that anyone else contemplating offending leaves or mends their ways.
And if that had happened, we wouldn't be in this mess where are now.

Mulling further:

NTM has known for decades that it has paedophiles in its midst, it probably had a pretty good idea of how many.

What is morally negligent is where these paedophiles went after leaving NTM and how they were allowed to shuffle off into another role involving children and I doubt no one from NTM bothered to issue a warning. This is three that spring to mind:

Rich Hine, dismissed from NTM, found in a children's home in Britain. The children's home was notified by a concerned MK.
Scott Kennell on his way to a children's camp in the U.S., when intercepted by ICE.
Gary Earl, issued a letter of resignation from NTM and if I understand it, was off to work with another children's organisation.

These are career paedophiles, once they have finished in NTM, they will move on to their next organisation, unless stopped. Paedophiles don't retire or rehabilitate themselves. They keep going till they are stopped!
