Christmas is the big family occasion here, when one gathers with ones "loved" ones. Of the last 30 or so Christmas Days, I've opted to don a uniform and let colleagues with families have the day off for about 26 of them. It can be quite fun working on Christmas Day and most patients who are compus mentus get into the spirit of the festivities.
