Hostage situation unfolds in Australia

A somewhat confusing hostage situation is unfolding in normally quiet bush land.

An official announcement is expected any moment that intrepid FE investigative journalist Lene “the loud” Gong has been captured by NTM operatives while undertaking a stake out close to the missions Australian HQ.

It is believed Mr Gong was in the area researching his next piece on the toxic effects of a newly formed compound called “TRGI”, which some hope will be an essential ingredient in the development of a weapon of mass cookie destruction. All that is known about TRGI to date is that it may have the power to attract money whilst repelling the truth.

It appears that mission staffers disguised most cunningly as snakes were deployed under stealth of night to take down Mr Gong. Professor Paul Flaming, the infamous sportsman, ethicist and apologist was mysteriously at the scene, and commented that “Mr Loud Gong has been taken hostage because he failed to tell the difference between our personnel and real Australian snakes. Many people have made this mistake. We don’t think it’s our fault we are so akin to actual snakes as to cause such confusion. However, we are very good at confusion and we like snakes”.

The FE community have responded quickly to these developments by sending in a secret weapon of their own. Though unable to fake it like the snakes, it is reported that a lycra clad nurse was dropped by what appeared to be a flying chainsaw into the vicinity. The nurse, said to be of a trustworthy nature, was carrying only an endoscope.

The effect of nurse deployment was immediate with snakes emerging at speed from the bush. Strangely enough they were all running backwards. It can only be “ass”umed this was in order to protect the endoscope prone region of the body from nursing powers. Professor Flaming was himself caught in the resulting melee, seen running as never before yelling “beware the endoscope. Do not look the nurse in the eye”.

Meanwhile Lene “the loud” Gong has not yet been recovered. Rumour abounds at present that the world-wide leader of the TRGI compound was himself involved in ordering the hit on Mr Gong, commenting off the record that the target “had long excelled at being a thorn in the side of the mission but was now becoming a right pain in the arse as well”.

Meanwhile the trusty nurse is believed to have said he is “going in again following industrial strength sanitisation of the endoscope. There is a lot of shit to be sorted through”. The situation remains somewhat fluid albeit a bit sticky.

Send in the Mosquito Corps to clear the area!
Then the nurse can walk free.

Where's our intrepid reporter gone? Did he get lost going to Australia or did he stop off in New Zealand and discover what most people find, that there it isn't worth going to Australia after you've been in Paradise
