Can you imagine when we told the FC that Kari had been molested, the field leader wrote us a letter that said “at least it wasn’t intercourse. If you had submitted to our leadership and put your girls back in the dorm and returned to the tribe, God would have worked it out.”
============================================================
I know from experience that the Senegal FC is not the only group of white men serving (or who served) with New Tribes that think like this.

1When Cephas came to Antioch, I opposed him to his face, because he stood condemned. 12For before certain men came from James, he used to eat with the Gentiles. But when they arrived, he began to draw back and separate himself from the Gentiles because he was afraid of those who belonged to the circumcision group. 13The other Jews joined him in his hypocrisy, so that by their hypocrisy even Barnabas was led astray.
Galatians 2

Paul confronting Peter? Peter, the guy who walked on water, the guy on the Mount of Transfiguration...Peter, the most visible leader of the church.

The Apostle Paul, who wrote a good chunk of the New Testament wouldn't have lasted two minutes as a member of New Tribes.

Heck, he wouldn't have made it through two days of Bible School.

The fandaagles website has allowed me to look in the mirror.
Grandpa Taylor, Dad, Mom, Aunt Carleen, Aunt Beth, Uncle Ken, Aunt Kay, Uncle Graham (actual uncles and aunts.....on both sides of the family) all went to Bob Jones.

Most of the first 20 years of my life were spent on a mission base or school...operated by New Tribes.
Most of my favorite memories from my childhood happened in the company of people connected to New Tribes.

Has New Tribes/Bob Jones has had any impact on the way I think, act, breathe, walk, relate, raise children, work, view African-Americans, view Obama, view life in general, view people?

I went to Bible school with Sharon Ames. She married Steve Sanford. From the picture on the NTM website, God has given them a beautiful family. Steve's dad was at Jersey Shore when my parents were in training. Sharon's dad was at Bob Jones when my parents were at Bob Jones.

Who am I to point the finger at Bob Ames? Who am I to point the finger at Michael Sullivan, who literally saved my life on May 16, 1988 by getting me admitted to Foote Memorial Hospital?

If God was able to do a mighty work amongst 120,000 people in Ninevah, who couldn't tell the difference between their right hand and their left....if God was able to help 2.5 million people escape the most powerful military in the world, by crossing on dry land through the Red Sea, if He can take the most powerful man on the planet and make him live like an animal, and then after 7 years restore Nebuchadnezzar to the throne, if He can heal a woman who had an issue of blood for many years, then He can certainly accomplish great and might things in our midst, bringing tremendous healing in family relationships, bringing tremendous hope in the midst of despair.
Perhaps God wants New Tribes to end....today. Perhaps He wants us to post here incessantly for another 70 years. Perhaps He wants me to shut up and focus on my wife and children. Perhaps He wants me to learn to love others more, to be forgiving instead of judgmental. Perhaps He wants New Tribes to go bankrupt and all its leaders to go to jail. Perhaps He wants a missionary like Steve Crockett, a 2nd generation triber from PNG, married to a second-generation triber from Indonesia, to stop, and reflect, and call his brother-in-law Tim Whatley, and together examine the material here at fandaeagles.com. Perhaps He......He's not very loud, and doesn't send a lot of text messages, but He loves all 7.1 billion of us, and He cares for all 7.1 billion of us in ways we may never know, and He wants us to be confident that the good work which He began in us.....He's gonna continue it until the day His Son comes back.

NEW TRIBES MISSION:

Please give us a straight answer.

What is the status of Ron and Debbie Abram??

Are they retired or terminated??

If they are retired, why don't they show up on your members list on your website like other retirees do? Like Susan Major does? Why are you hiding them?

If they are terminated, then are they still receiving funds through NTM? Or is this a misunderstanding? Or a misrepresentation?

Let's get this out on the table, NTM.

Someone give us some honest answers, please.

Here is a church that evidently still supports Ron Abram.

Really??

And here, apparently, is another one. Note the Abram's e-mail is still listed as ntm.org.

If Ron Abram was actually terminated from NTM, and has absolutely no affiliation or connection with NTM in any way, and his supporters have all been clearly informed of his termination and the reason for it, then I acknowledge that he has the right to go where he pleases, live where he likes, and receive income in whatever way he can.

His choices may be morally questionable to me, but my opinion is simply my opinion.

I just want to be clear that what I am questioning is NOT where he is presently living, but what his relationship is with the mission that was supposed to have terminated him. Is NTM being totally honest? Is Ron being completely transparent? Is the information about how he is receiving funds simply a misunderstanding?

I am seeking clarification of all this, and if there is no cause for concern, then I will shut up.

A part of this equation which bothers me a lot is: what about the people Ron has returned to live amongst?

The believers who were led to Christ by John and Diane Mikitson, whom Ron has tried so hard to discredit and besmirch?

God help us, how many of our tribal churches are just little NTM camps? Little boot camps where the same style of "leadership" (actually control) is used to brainwash and manipulate the grateful (obligated) people who we led out of one type of bondage into another??

I am so broken hearted when I think about this part of the equation. The brothers and sisters in Christ who I will someday meet in Heaven. I shed tears of sadness for them. This is not how the walk of faith is supposed to be.
