If one was inclined to betting, it would be a closer bet that NTM will sink, than say this time last year. And for the reasons JerryB points out. MKs who have suffered once are now being teated with contempt by what appears to be an organisation that pays only lip service to caring for those under its care at the time of abuse.

Do I want NTM to sink, to be honest I don't really have a firm opinion. I'm happy to leave the fate of NTM to fate (or God if you prefer). I didn't do the crime, so I don't have to face doing the time. What happens will be because of NTMs actions and the actions of others with a better opportunity and expertise.

However the longer this goes on with little or no resolution, the less inclined I will be to wishing NTM to remain afloat.

And, let's be honest about the restructuring of the "older brother"...it has nothing to do with "the increasing diverse growth of membership"...whatever that means. Separate legal entities are being formed so that big brother can die quietly with everybody here left with zero legal recourse whatsoever. Assets and people are simply moving to a different legal entity...different in form, but all too similar in substance.

Reaching the least reached people groups of the world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ and establishing them as effective disciples of our Lord.

Businesses in this country do this frequently. They go into liquidation with one name and start up the same business in another name. Sounds like that is what Crossview did. Full stop.

Plans for the internationalization of NTM
ie: forming separate entities in the different parts of the world
have been going on since at least 2000-2003.

What is truly shameful is Crossview (or their previous incarnation) has refused to help an MK and credit where credit is due, it was one of the U.S. NTM staff who stepped in and helped. For this we are grateful, but not impressed that it had to happen this way.

Perhaps the past all got wiped and self forgiveness abounded (as Pamela indicated) when the name change took place. But its the same people involved, as I know quite a few personally.
Pity MKs can't get a hold of that magic wand that heals the past so well that it miraculously never took place.

i don't have a problem with forming separate legal entities. there are many reasons to do so. but, when we say that NTM might fail for whatever reason, even if this was the case, there would still may be many little NTM brother and sister companies running around with their diapers on, each proclaiming they are using the latest and greatest training techniques...to sucker money out of people and to ensure that every once in a great while, a donated dollar is used for its intended purpose.

You're right Thai MK in that there are a lot of reasons for forming separate legal entities. On this site we can guess one of those reasons.

When I was part of NTM it was common to hear the "we are separate from the world" lectures. If you've had anything to do with NTM you'll know what I mean. The recent reorganising the affairs of NTM/CrossView to best place it to ride out the strife they know is coming is exactly what other "worldly" businesses do when they know they are in trouble. Then watch the media spokespeople troll out tripe when the time comes using the legal deck chair arranging to protect reputations and the most important things like (no not children)....tangible assets and money.

I feel quite angry thinking about this. Since I have already done the vacuuming this week I shall go mow the lawn.
