So NTM admits what happened in Senegal. Its all there in the GRACE report and they seemed to accept it. YET their lawyer will argue for the Jane Doe case to be dismissed? Shame on you NTM! You say one thing and then do another entirely. How can you live with the lies and deceit? Come on Larry. Come on Brian. The world is watching and you are nowhere to be seen. I'm with Pamela, I'm cranky. I can think of other words but best not to type those in.

I do hope my husband is wrong, he isn't often. He believes NTM will basically come out of all these sex scandals almost untarnished. Where are the churches? When I say that I am really asking where are all the people? Churches = People. People = Money. NTM exists on People's Money. Do "People" not care about the abuse of children????????? Is this mission board actually just a sham? I will answer my own question. Yes, it appears it is just a sham. Don't tell me NTM cares about children, their actions say that is not the case at all. I lived very close to Crossview at one time. They were so strict a couple had to get special permission to attend our church. Funny that (not ha, ha funny), we have never abused children in any way. We had a huge Awana Club and ran it very efficiently but would never never harm any child, in word or deed. Children have very good memories, they know if they are cared for or if they are just being used as pawns, you know, good prayer letters back home to the supporting churches and the good ole' mission board. Shame on NTM, you are guilty and need to say so immediately, promptly, NOW! I have said enough. Full stop.

I think I can answer this question for you or more correctly a Baptist Pastor can answer this for you.

I got a reply from a Baptist Pastor which went along these lines:

"My daughter was abused by a stranger. Alas I can't tell my fellow pastors about New Tribes Missions past, because I might be had up for defamation, based on your evidence, anyway I only trust Baptist Missions".

Please feel reassured I provided him with so much evidence he'll be reading for days and I also introduced him to the ABWE scandal.

Then I left him with two options a) to get back to me for any further clarification needed (in other words take up the challenge of advising his colleagues and congregation) or b) hit the delete button.


You see, Pastors will find any excuse they can to not do a thing about this and therefore their congregations just follow suit or in the dark.
So it ends up on the plate of those with a conscience and that is us.

"I only trust Baptist missions? WHAT? I am a Baptist but the scandals in Baptist Churches and Baptist Mission Boards are wide spread. I am glad you told him about ABWE, now let's hope he gets his silly head out of the sandpit. What hope is there with pastors with this kind of attitude? Full stop.

He claimed my evidence didn't really stack up. This would be the video clip of Les Emory confessing and Warren Kennel. So now he has the whole GRACE report to read and the ABWE site.
I suspect I'll never hear from him again, but then again I might.

If you would like to enlighten him with your own wisdom, PM me and I'll pass on his e-mail. Baptist Pastors have a very low rate of replying, yet NTM recruits in their church. Yet when I ran a control test and wrote to the Catholic Priest who is charged with looking into and dealing with child abuse in their church, he replied with a very kind letter. Yet as far as I am aware, NTM, ABWE and all such missions rarely send their recruiters into Catholic churches. So it is the story of the Good Samaritan all over again. They that should be involved don't want to know and those who have the least reason to be involved, kindly stop and offer to help.

Anyone else had similar experiences? Anyone else got any enlightenment as to why Pastors are failing so badly? It can't be for lack of evidence, because the same evidence put before others like Politicians gets a good strike rate of reply.

Oh and why am I interested in this particular Pastor. e-mail me, I'll spill the beans.

A new line on the Jane Doe 25 lawsuit Case View. Anyone have any idea what this means? "Memorandum of law in opposition to NTM's motion to dismiss?" I wonder if there will still be a hearing next week? Maybe not?
