Any chance of collating the results and having it printed in bold type on Newspapers down this way?

Seriously, it is embarrassing the lack of interest the average pastor exhibits, but then when sees pastor after minister after priest being sentenced for sex crimes against children, one wonders if the average religious leader is covering for his fallen comrades or even worse, rather than showing any concern or compassion for victims of abuse.

There is a very low rate of church attendance down here and to be honest I'm not surprised. It's all well and good to preach about a loving God, but if preaching is all that is done then isn't it all a bit of a waste of time?

Second thoughts don't bother telling the average pastor down here, it's not worth the effort.

On GRACE's facebook page today is this quote:

This was written by Rudyard Kipling in the 1930s.

For how long has mankind known that this is the way children respond to abuse? Shouldn't we all be well-educated on this subject by now?

And yet, all these years later, we still encounter adults who say ignorant things like, "Why didn't you tell someone?" "Why didn't you just tell him to stop?" "I knew him. He was a Godly man. He simply isn't capable of doing those things to a child." "You should have screamed for help and run away." "I am sure she is just exaggerating, or doesn't remember clearly." "The other kids seem to have turned out fine. Why is he blaming his behavior now on things that happened decades ago?"

God help us. We will never learn.

An interesting and very welcome development. If the mighty Catholic Church can be found guilty, then lesser "spiritual" entities have reasons to be afraid.
Little bit of justice dished out, would be just dessert.
