"That Girl" and I are still around. Still popping on here occasionally to read a few things. Not much to say that hasn't already been said.

AND we are really sad to have lost some good friends lately who had valuable perspectives to share. We need everyone and every different view. We, too, have learned so much. Things we never would have wanted to know. But which have increased our sensitivity. And things which have made us feel like we are not the only ones. We are not alone.

I'm still around, just been busy with school and experiencing technical difficulties, that's all.

Hello all. Still here not on as often because of some health issues and other stuff going on but have been on more the last week or so again. I guess this lawsuit is the next step in the process. Consequences, consequences-we the people of today are suffering for the incompetence, negligence, mistakes, and abuses of those of the past. I hate it when that happens.

Hi Gene, was just making a general comment here about consequences. As Nate Emory has so eloquently shared in his letter, he who did nothing but be born the son of a sick freak has suffered and had to deal with the consequences of his fathers sin. Is that fair? I don't think so but unfortunately life is not fair, life is a nightmare for some people. I don't think it's particularly fair either that all the past, present and future NTM missionaries will be tainted by this lawsuit because NTM as a whole is being targeted not the specific people who committed the crimes. It is what it is and I'm not quiet about what I think. I support Jane Doe for what she is doing. I hope she gets satisfaction and what she wants from the lawsuit. I support the hurting MKs who for far too long have had to struggle and fight for every little bit of progress that has been made. It is because of the abused MKs that anything has happened and that these investigations have started. Bonnie and Kari have achieved something through this blog that no one else seems to have been able to do. I also support the many NTM missionaries who have nothing to do with the abuse of the past, present or even future. If you knew about the abuse and did nothing that is one thing. If you didn't know or believed the lie that it was dealt with you should not be held accountable for that. I am from the latter group and now am using my voice to push back, ask questions and do what little I can to keep leadership accountable. I just wish the people who were responsible could be punished instead of everyone in NTM.

Thank you, thank you for clearly voicing your sympathy and support for Jane Doe #7, who I love and am grieving for. You are able to feel and express anger correctly directed toward the people who do deserve your anger.
At the same time you are defending the innocent ones who are the collateral damage of this debacle. As a present member of NTM, you yourself are one of those who are now affected by this. You are right to speak up and point out that the effects of this evil are so very far reaching. The consequences of one man's depravity go on and on and we are all being pulled under by the riptide. Because I also knew this man, this monster who started all this, and thought he was my friend, and loved him as a brother in Christ, I am just overwhelmed by horrible grief over the discovery of how little I actually did know about him and what he was doing.
God save us .... we are stumbling through a nightmare and I do not know where any of us are going ....
