Shary, I think you hit the nail on the head. When we tried to resign but got terminated for insubordination another missionary told us he would go down with the ship. In other words he didn't care what ABWE did. We now believe we may know the reason why we were terminated but it is just supposition and it has to do with Bangladesh but it doesn't really matter. When we were with ABWE we saw a loyalty from missionaries to ABWE above loyalty to the local church who supposedly sent them to the mission field. Churches place all confidence in a mission agency and think they keep the missionary accountable when I believe as long as a missionary is loyal to the organization they can pretty much get by with anything. Full stop.

That's very scary and very true.
We have been there too.
Not a pleasant place to be.
But you can at least live with yourself after the fall-out.

Here a blog that I think shows what a lot of missionaries and MKs are suffering. I believe this is what many missions inflict on their members.
