Tuti, I am so proud of you and other NTM members who are coming to these forums and speaking up! I find it to be a huge encouragement and i am glad that you are sticking with NTM right now. We need people to stand up for us on the "inside". People like you are the ones who can make the changes, not us X-MK's and X-NTMers. We can really only try to influence you, give you our opinion on what went wrong and why... you are the ones that will make the difference. I hope no-one scares you guys away!

Naomi, I agree that people inside the organization have some options those outside do not: the reverse is also true. It takes courage to do what you've done in telling your story. I hope you find total healing and life better than you ever imagined it could be.

Kari, I hear what you're saying. research & time, because it isn't quite as simple as picking up the phone and dialing 9-1-1. And you are a brave woman. Stand strong.

MK py-- I actually just got an e-mail in answer to one of mine that says NTM is conceding that they need outside help. Apparently they are engaging other, outside people to be involved in the other investigations. it's not clear to me if NTM will be involved or it will be totally a third-party investigation. I'd vote for a third party. Good list there.

Here's a question for us: is NTM, or NTM representation, welcome on this site? I mean, is this supposed to be a free place for everyone else to air their concerns that should be left alone by NTM? Or would it be viewed as helpful/meaningful if NTM would actually get someone posting on this site? (like if O.T.'s supposed moles start posting what they know instead of letting misinformation whirl around this site, if or when it does-- totally not talking about stories of what happened, but it seems we are sometimes in the dark about what NTM is or is not doing?). If this forum would welcome input from NTM, I think we should tell them so. If not, I think we shouldn't feel badly that they're not here... and if someone has written Larry, the executive board, or NTM-CPC and asked for their presence and not gotten a response, tell us. I would bet that Kari has been in contact with them about it????

Ornery, you are most welcome anywhere on this forum cause you make us laugh and think. And I love the quotes. Have you considered offering long-distances course on government/law? And did you call the hotline and get anywhere?

I know, I've missed some stuff here.... thanks to all of you who are here and dialoguing and talking to one another. And I like talking to you....

To clear up some misconceptions..Yes, NTM is conceding that they need outside help and will probably retain a third party investigator, but they are suggesting that that investigator report to their CPC. This removes the ability of the investigator to remain totally impartial and gives the CPC too much control.

There is still time to petition NTM to ask for a completely independent review, without involving the CPC. I highly recommend GRACE as they have earned many of our trust. The CPC is simply not qualified to investigate, and NTM is not trustworthy enough to hold our stories and act on them.
