You guys crack me up! Most of you sound like you are content to be whiney victims and conspiracy theorists. So, NTM changed their name...so what? I guess it fits the narrative here that there must be a underlying plot in doing so. So, NTM diversified their assets and holdings...so what? Why does that mean that someone is trying to hide something?

"whiney victims"??? That seems like an oxymoron to me. But definitely disrespectful. I don't know anywhere else in the world someone would get away with calling any other victims "whiney", unless it is the perpetrator doing it. I guess you think they should just "forgive and forget"?? Are you in any way affiliated with Ethnos360 because that would explain everything, lol.

Interestingly though, the other day I was asking a former NTM member, just out of curiousity, "Why did NTM change their name???" Her reply: "Well you know there's no more unreached tribes left anymore." WHAT?!!!!! Then why was the fact that there were SO MANY unreached tribes out there POUNDED into my head when I was at NTBI?? And the fact that if I (myself and myself alone) didn't go tell them about Jesus they would all go to hell?!!! Her explanation was that the mormons or catholics have reached most tribes, so technically there were no unreached tribes left.

Ridiculous. ! IMHO, anyone who has any skeptical bone in their body would question why such a superior(THEY preach all day long about how superior they are) mission would ever need or want to change their name. Seems retrogressive to me. And more complicated.

Really?? A former NTMer actually said there are no unreached tribes left?? Wow, I think I would have argued that on the spot! Never in NTM's history did they consider a tribe "reached" just because the Mormons or Catholics had been there! In fact, in countries like the Philippines, tribes that had several centuries of Roman Catholic connection were still considered "unreached" because they had not been evangelized by New Tribers and heard the Gospel presented the CORRECT way, through months of chronological teaching.

That just blows my mind. That doesn't even line up with the more logical explanation I read about the name change as worded by the leaders in Sanford.
