This is a sad, but interesting article. A story of powerful men abusing children and getting away with it. But look at the last section, the author comments that Michael Jackson seemed to be the most normal celebrity he came into contact with and that his world, although strange, felt safe.
The parallels are strangely eerie.

Yes, some very interesting parallels here.

One of the things I have learned this year has been just HOW MUCH child abuse has been going on in the Christian world, and it has been going on a long time.

I thought the horrors of Tambo were the worst I'd ever heard. This year I have learned that the evil robbing of childhood innocence has been rampant in multiple Christian environments, particularly in extremely conservative, fundamentalist environments. This makes me sick.

The stories we are hearing from Hollywood, NTM, and other places are decades old. It turns my stomach to think of the likelihood that even now, today, child abuse is probably still occurring, and the secrets of today will not be told till many years from now.

God help us ... what a broken world my grandchildren are living in. Some days it is hard to find any hope.

Another thing I found interesting in the article is how long it took for this brave person to tell their story. Like many of us, no doubt he had to get far enough down the road to healing, before he spoke out.
Also he was manipulated into thinking that no one would believe him and that what was happening to him was some sort of "normal".

Oh haven't too many of us been there. There was very little "normal" about my childhood, the "abnormal" was "normal" and the consequences of it I live with today.
