A horse, a horse
Your kingdom for a horse
So I might ride in foreign fields
To help dem natives of course

But Hubble Bubble
Toil and trouble
Someone has caused
Much rack and rubble

We fought on the beaches
In jungle thick and near
Till bitten by mosquito
And got diahorrea

No putting pen to paper
For tropical missionary bard
Just wishing to end the paperwork
And pass something a bit more hard

(more medical humor, for the not so faint hearted :lol:

I can't write,
It's just not there.
It would help if I could,
Cause you all seem to care.

You're sending me hope,
And it all sounds good,
Right now I don't get it,
It's not understood.

Something has to give inside,
I don't think it should be this hard.
When the smoke is black and swirling within....
It's my head that hurts, and my heart won't mend.

I feel like I am unable
To grasp sometimes what's true.
Please stick close to me as a brother
So that someday, I will be knew.

I'll try to not take for granted
What the God that I can't always see,
Has shared with me so graciously,
.....You friends who are walking with me.

So thanks to you all for your kindness
And at the same time please forgive me
For any times that I may offend you
Or need you more than you need me.

Grace and mercy are awesome
Whether I get them or not.
Here, nor there, or anywhere,
My pain can't keep calling the shots.

I'm not trying to make new formulas
To undo what has been done.
I know that's not the answer
To this crazy life I run.

But that is what is happening,
I'm running my life with no clue.
I'm thinking that I can change everything
By making a formula new.

They programmed me to think
That I could be in control.
Now that I find out it's all a lie,
I'm left out in the cold.

They left me on the side of the road
So I could learn to sing my song.
But they forgot to add the rhythm,
And everything went wrong.

I think that the undoing
Of these formulas that don't work
Should be the job of those
Who wrote them as my curse.

Each day feels like a math test,
That repeatedly I fail.
To find out there is no formula,
What the heck, then my life is hell!

They never make my life simple
No matter how hard I cry.
It's the simple things that I don't get
Where I don't have to try.

Jesus, please,
I want to understand.
That your love is not difficult
And that I can take your hand.

I keep trying to remember
Your words instead of mans.
Your words that are not lies to me,
But in my fingers they are sand.

I keep trying to pick up the pieces
And sometimes, I think I can,
But then I come to realize
It's another formula I ran.

It is all so very frustrating
Each and every day.
Why can't I get your simple love
And live my life that way?

I keep trying to hang on
With my tired fingertips.
Please do not let go of me,
I hate it when I slip.
