Watch out Chicago!

I guess I have to come 'home' to see you Bemused.

And just off the e-mails, this from our British MKs who alas have been eating horse meat that some unscrupulous conmen have been labeling as "Beef"

Dear Bemused:

Alas we have been delayed in our preperations to come to Chicago because we unwittingly ate some horse meat, labeled as beef, it has been a major HURDLE to get over, but we are now in a STABLE condition. Some of us had horse meat for supper last night and still have a BIT between our teeth.
As to our time of arrival in Chicago, we cannot answer yay or NEIGH. We bought a packet of burgers with what we thought was a barcode, but it turned out to be ZEBRA.

Anyway must go, to BEEF or not to BEEF, that is the EQUESTRIAN.

Oh wait, NEWSFLASH.

British MKs stopped at border by U.S. officials. Apparently they had ILLEGAL INGREDIENTS, with them.

I am thankful to report that some EAGLES are not ILL at all.

On the contrary, we are soaring!!!

Flap, flap, flap, mega flap, jump. Damn still not flying, oh that's right, short stubby wings, not made for flying. O.k. can't change the fact I'm a Kiwi bird, so will have to run fast instead. Look, running, running fast, jumping, weeeeeee, CRASH BOOM BANG!!!!!

Moral of story, just be happy with who thee is, if ya ain't got wings, has a long beak, is nocturnal and is about the size of a large chicken, ya ain't gonna soar like no Eagle .

Eeeek just over a month till the conference in Chicago.

Much as it would be nice to catch up with new friends, I've opted to stay home. It is a very long way and I would like to travel to the States sometime with Mrs Bemused, but it is not possible with her work this April.

I am also rather shy, which might be a suprise given the amount of posting I do, but it is true. And the thought of a large group, crying and hugging with lots of emotion does actually terrify me. It is a product of my early years. Interestingly put me in my uniform, behind a keyboard or with the hound and I am able to roar out of my shy shell.

I've been kindly asked to send some of my mad ramblings, so two MK colleagues have kindly assisted with this (my smelling is not up to scritch and my puntation is beezare). Also a kind MK has offered to fly the Kiwi flag on behalf of MKs from down here. Don't worry the haka will probably not be performed by said individual and if it is, please take photos.
