Haven't been on for awhile because I forgot my pass word. But I have not forgotten you and the work you are doing. We can't give up. I am glad to see the law suits because that seems to be the only way they will listen.
Just attended the Penn State Conference on Child Sexual Abuse. I kept thinking if only missionary organizations would do something like this. They brought in people who have worked in the child abuse field for years. The President of Penn State attended the sessions. He said child abuse is evil made no comments to defend the cover up, but said Penn State wants to lead the way to stop abuse. It was a two day conference. I went as a representative of MK Safety Net. It was a new concept to many that MKs were abused, but many listened to my story of MK Safety Net. I came away with the feeling that now is the time to hold missions accountable. Those outside of religious circles realize how serious this is.
I believe one way we can show we mean business is work together from many missions to say we have had enough. MK Safety Net is planning a conference for abused MKs. If we could get over 200 MKs together to deal with abuse the world would notice even if the missions didn't. So I invite you to come it is in the Chicago area April 19 to 20. Boz is one of speakers.
